Soooo turns out I didn't get the raise my boss promised to give me. Nobody got a raise. I can understand why she's been desperate for me all week, she has hardly any staff left. And if my loan wasn't coming in two weeks after I need to pay my first rent payment, I'd be gone too. So I'm still on almost below minimum wage for a job that literally is back breaking. I've been working there TWO DAYS and I already have a burn and fucked the muscles in the arch of one of my feet somehow so now it hurts to bend it in certain ways. Which makes getting up off the ground and crouching to pick things up very painful.

It's making me get into gear about possibly opening up commissions and selling some of the anime stuff I don't want or need anymore. I have two huge boxes of manga and anime I am trying to get rid of, as well as doujinshi, plush toys, figures, extra keyblades, stickers--you name it, I probably have it in them depths of my room. I've made myself a selling community which I'll post up here when I've finished making some SELLING POSTS to it, and then let my flist have first picks over my junk and then advertise in LJ comms. HOPEFULLY I CAN SHIFT SOME OF IT AND EARN MY RENT. AND POSSIBLY FOOD BILLS BUT LET'S NOT GET TOO HASTY.

ANYWAY TODAY WAS MOSTLY AWESOME! I went into London and met up with [livejournal.com profile] ormery and [livejournal.com profile] countersparking to see Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, which I thought was amazing. I ENJOYED IT THOROUGHLY and really want to see it again. jfdgndfjg. I also purchased a Scott Pilgrim comic T-shirt and a textbook for my dissertation, and had an awesome fun time with my dudes. INJECTION OF HAPPY GET.

IT was really rainy and miserable all day though, and about halfway through the movie my cold decided to get about ten times worse, so I spent the rest of the day sort of in this... hazey headachey zombie walk. WHICH WASN'T VERY FUN. And now I have a blocked nose and I can't breathe and I have a headache and I have to be in work in the morning tomorrow, which means I can't go see Inception again with my parents. Sob. I mean, I guess I still have a job, but since I have it I am allowed to whine about it.

BUT YES. SCOTT PILGRIM WAS AWESOME. AND MY T-SHIRT IS AWESOME BUT I AM NOT ALLOWED TO SPEND ANY MORE MONEY WITHOUT RAISING MY RENT FIRST AND HIDING IT SOMEWHERE.

brb passing out forever.

QUERY, FLIST:

POSSIBLE AVENGERS MOVIE CASTING SPOILERS )

I ALSO SAW HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON AND I AM IN POST-MOVIE-GLEE ABOUT IT. More on this later though, possibly when I've seen it again. (OH GOD IT WAS SO CUTE AND I WANT A TOOTHLESS PLUSHIE THE FUCK RIGHT NOW) ...and Hannah just showed me some popcorn that she just pulled out of her bra. My cue to end this journal I think.

I hope you all had a good holiday and New Year! 2010 sounds like a good year :) I haven't really posted in a while because I've been busy with a lot of off internet things since I've not been home in like 2 months and family came to stay from Bermuda and then there was a party and then [livejournal.com profile] otilu was here and it's been a little crazy. The house is back to being empty again, and mom's started to take down all the Christmas decorations (it's kind of sad 8( The house looks so pretty with them up) and I've got one week left before I go back to University.

I'm not sure if I'm dreading it or looking forward to it. I have two projects to hand in a couple days after I get back, neither of which I've really worked on since I've been at home, so I'm not looking forward to the all-nighters and stress that is going to go with that, but I do miss my little room and my friends. I dunno. It's weird I guess. Especially since I'm not really happy with my course and the only bits I do enjoy are the social aspects of it. Euugh. Pura make your mind up.

I think the fact that I'm very sleep deprived because I had to share my bed with my sister last night (since our extended family were still with us) and she snores so loudly that I couldn't sleep and i have work in 10 minutes and my shoulder is killing me from walking around London all yesterday with my father and his brother, it's making me grumpy. I just want to go back to bed, but I know that the moment I get back from work I have to sit down and start school work and keep at it as late as I can. Which means I'll be hecka scarce from the internet for like a week. But if I work as well as doing my schoolwork, hopefully I can finally buy my plane tickets for this summer. I've almost got enough money, just another £200 should do it, hopefully. Once those are actually booked, I'm going to feel a whole lot better.

So yeah! I'm not going to be around much at all over the next couple of weeks. I'll probably still be doing tags, but at a really slow pace.

IN OTHER NEWS I got to meet [livejournal.com profile] countersparking again the other weekend (Maria you are so cute omg), along with [livejournal.com profile] otilu and [livejournal.com profile] ormery, and we all went to see the new Sherlock Holmes movies, which I thought was rather excellent and I'm probably going to see it again sometime this week or next. Derp. I'm also probably seeing Avatar when I go back to uni with one of my friends since she's been obsessing over it since she read about it's production, and whilst I'm a little skeptical about the plot, I'll still give it a go.

(I ALSO SAW PRINCESS AND THE FROG, OMG I CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT TO COME OUT OVER HERE SO I CAN SEE IT IN HD AND NOT A CRAPPY INTERNET STREAM. BUT IT WAS AWESOME.)

That is all. Carry on.

Coraline was amazing. I really really want to see it again, so I think I'm going to take Hannah when I go back home. *___* Just, augh. The animation in it fffffff. I was just sitting there in complete awe. The story was so awesome too. Seriously. Go see it if you haven't already. It reduces me to keysmashy.

After I saw Coraline I went to Forbidden Planet to have a browse and bought the last +anima volume and a comic. They had Halloween Town Sora figurines in stock, holy shit. He is even cuter in real life than on the internet. I wanted it so badly but I've been spending a lot of money recently and I seriously need to cut back so I had to leave it there. That was almost heartbreaking ;_;

Also Marvel Adventures is my new favorite thing ever.

TODAY I AM GOING SHOE SHOPPING since the May Ball is on Friday and I only have converse. THIS MIGHT BE A PROBLEM.

AUGH

My evening has been rather eventful.

Firstly, I was bored at like.. 7pm so I texted my friend [livejournal.com profile] silverbrumby123 to see if she wants me to make her dinner. She did! So I made a really quick stir fry out of like NOTHING and it was really tasty! It had red onion, bean sprouts, water chestnuts bamboo shoots and garlic and noodles and sausages and this nice sauce too. I actually surprised myself because it was damn good and I'd basically thrown everything together in like 5minutes.

Then we decided to watch a movie since we are slowly getting our way through the entire Disney collection we both own (which is a lot) and about 5 minutes into Lilo and Stitch one of my room mates knocks on my door. Let me just.. tell you that I NEVER see anyone is my flat. Nobody talks to me, and nobody is ever around, so this in itself is odd. I answer it and there is Michael, the Korean boy down the hall that doesn't speak much English, holding something in his hand looking at me with a worried expression.

I asked him what I could do for him, and he held his hand up and said Help, and.. it was absolutely GUSHING with blood. Gushing. It was dripping all on the floor and he didn't seem to be in pain but oh my god. There was so much blood. I ushered him back into the kitchen, and cleaned him up to discover that the wound is really really deep - so deep that I could see his BONE (he cut himself right where your index finger joins your hand). It also refused to stop bleeding after about 5 minutes of putting pressure on it. The kitchen floor was covered in blood too, as was the sink, and I then called campus security because this was way too big for me to deal with on my own.

They came down, bandaged him, and then, since it was refusing to stop its relentless bleeding, decided to take him to hospital to get stitches and a Tetanus shot because he cut it on a TIN and could have Tetanus. After they left I had to clean up all the blood in the kitchen and on the hallway door with the help of my friend, before we finished Lilo and Stitch - which I'd missed like half of.

Its a good thing that only needles really wig me out and I'm not majorly squeemish or I'd totally have fainted. @____@

OH WHAT ADVENTURES I HAVE AT UNIVERSITY.
