deviantART fail

I've been thinking about this a lot recently - especially after I hit 50K on my DA, but it actually depresses me to post on there. I take what total strangers say about my art way too seriously. I'm not drawing because its fun anymore, I'm drawing to impress people - and failing at it. Like squeakyorm said, I'm asking myself two questions: Is it good? Does it suck? To which my answers are always No. Yes. I just want to go back to how I used to be, drawing for the sake of drawing, because I found it enjoyable, not because I was trying to impress anyone.

And the fact that I still get notes about how I should go back to drawing furries because I was "So much better at that!"... So I made an executive decision and switched to a new account. If you want it, its here: http://purapea.deviantart.com
(its so depressing to have ads surrounding my pages though augh)

I'm going to use the old one for stuff like my extensive watch list, but I probably wont be posting anything on there. I dont really post there much now a days anyways. This switch may not last. it depends on how much of a whore I am for my BELOVED PAGE VIEWS OH MY. NOT MY BELOVED PAGEVIEWS. (I mean, I just hit 50k! I never thought that would happen. Ever.) Sigh.


Things that need to be addressed:

I need to do more sketch request threads on livejournal - because they are hella fun!
I need to experiment with my style - because I loathe my current one and I know I wont be happy with it till I experiment some more
I need to get the idea that favorites and comments on a drawing determines how successful it is
I need to loosen up
but most of all I need to steal a few good buddies, go to London, and sit in a coffee shop and just draw all day



Man. I wish I wasn't so fucked in the head with this kind of thing.
