Soooo turns out I didn't get the raise my boss promised to give me. Nobody got a raise. I can understand why she's been desperate for me all week, she has hardly any staff left. And if my loan wasn't coming in two weeks after I need to pay my first rent payment, I'd be gone too. So I'm still on almost below minimum wage for a job that literally is back breaking. I've been working there TWO DAYS and I already have a burn and fucked the muscles in the arch of one of my feet somehow so now it hurts to bend it in certain ways. Which makes getting up off the ground and crouching to pick things up very painful.

It's making me get into gear about possibly opening up commissions and selling some of the anime stuff I don't want or need anymore. I have two huge boxes of manga and anime I am trying to get rid of, as well as doujinshi, plush toys, figures, extra keyblades, stickers--you name it, I probably have it in them depths of my room. I've made myself a selling community which I'll post up here when I've finished making some SELLING POSTS to it, and then let my flist have first picks over my junk and then advertise in LJ comms. HOPEFULLY I CAN SHIFT SOME OF IT AND EARN MY RENT. AND POSSIBLY FOOD BILLS BUT LET'S NOT GET TOO HASTY.

ANYWAY TODAY WAS MOSTLY AWESOME! I went into London and met up with ormery and countersparking to see Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, which I thought was amazing. I ENJOYED IT THOROUGHLY and really want to see it again. jfdgndfjg. I also purchased a Scott Pilgrim comic T-shirt and a textbook for my dissertation, and had an awesome fun time with my dudes. INJECTION OF HAPPY GET.

IT was really rainy and miserable all day though, and about halfway through the movie my cold decided to get about ten times worse, so I spent the rest of the day sort of in this... hazey headachey zombie walk. WHICH WASN'T VERY FUN. And now I have a blocked nose and I can't breathe and I have a headache and I have to be in work in the morning tomorrow, which means I can't go see Inception again with my parents. Sob. I mean, I guess I still have a job, but since I have it I am allowed to whine about it.




BUT YES. SCOTT PILGRIM WAS AWESOME. AND MY T-SHIRT IS AWESOME BUT I AM NOT ALLOWED TO SPEND ANY MORE MONEY WITHOUT RAISING MY RENT FIRST AND HIDING IT SOMEWHERE.

Update on my animation: I should've finished all the rough by Wednesday, but that never happened because I've been really sick all this week. Figures. I'm not sure if I'm going to finish this in time, but I've also found out that the deadline hasn't actually been moved. It's still the 15th of January, but the teacher wants it all finished by the 15th of December. I already know one of our group isn't handing anything in @___@ But even if I don't finish it in time for next week, hopefully I'll be able to finish it over Christmas if I get my essay out of the way quickly. Of course, this is only a backup plan, in case I don't finish. I really want to finish 8|a

I've got two and a bit scenes to finish, both of which are sort of easy (the little bit isn't as much) but then I can go linetest everything and make sure it works. It better work. Or I'm going to be crying in frustration again, derp. And then it's onto lineart and colouring, then editing. I have no idea if I'm putting sound in @____@ I have no time! And then when I finish this animation, I have to move onto another one. Thankfully I have some sort of idea what i'm going to do (possibly watercolour Rorschach ink blots reacting to different noises) so it's not a complete lost cause. I'm just worried because I haven't done any of the research, and the official hand-in for that is before christmas. Something tells me I'm going to give up with my 2D and work on this other project this weekend :x

All I seem to be posting lately are memes. I guess that tells you how exhausted I've been over the past couple days. Been hit with this weird bug thing where I'm all dizzy and headachey and nauseated but still doing things like going to work and getting dragged around town with my sister looking for dresses to wear to my cousins wedding this weekend and rainbow things to take to Gay Pride which I'm also going to on Saturday. Hopefully I'll be better before then because I don't want to throw up :<

WHAT THE FUCK WRITERS. THEY ARE NOT 60 YEARS OLD.

So I spoke to my mom this morning since getting to sleep last night was hard (I was scared I was gonna suffocate. It wasn't hurting, it just felt really swollen and I could feel my tonsils pressing on the back of my tongue and YEAH NOT NICE) and she noticed that one of my tosils was covered in spots and told me to go to the doctors. I'm lucky that I got an appointment before work, so I went in and got it checked out. It's either early tonsillitis or early glandular fever (yay! 8|) and I've been put on a course of antibotics for a week. Hopefully it should clear up by then but if not I'm going to have to see the GP in Wales who is sort of insane and talks down at me like I'm a child. Here's to hoping it clears up.

Also I like doing the odd day for Lorraine but someone remind me that ironing sheets for five hours is not good for my feet or my back. @___@

I've never had a sore throat this bad in my living memory. I mean I sneezed, and it felt like my tonsils had ripped out. Euugh. Thank god for Strepsils, even if they stop working after about 5 minutes. I think I caught that nasty bug thats going around. Which is awesome, because I need to be working on a essay. I feel so siiiick D;

So yeah! Happy 2009 to you all. I'm not setting myself any solid new years resolutions, but I'd like to be able to have gotten better at concentrating on my work and stop procrastinating, and stop being a huge amount of FAIL.

In other news, I decided to download SAI painter a while ago, but I was messing around on it for the first time tonight seeing as photoshop was being a whore.
